wall's gone on the north and east. dunno if it's gone-gone or just moved.
would take too long to scout it all myself. looking for people who can cover ground fast, aren't stupid, good memory for landmarks or can keep good notes. maybe sketch a map.
say something or meet at the shore. leaving in an hour with or without you

and dangers. most important

if you hear a bunch of explosions, don't freak out or anything. it's just me.
no subject
( possibly a mild reaction for that kind of statement, but whatever explosions she might cause aren't really his problem.
he'll be here, waiting for her report. )

there's a town on the other end. looks abandoned, all the buildings are falling apart.
no subject
town's drawn the right size? ( tuuri, the family's skald, might know enough to ask if it's drawn to scale. lalli doesn't, but that's what he's asking either way. )

[ Look, she was spitballing it from the get go. Take what you can get, okay? ]

getting a comprehensive map is a good idea I will share any findings through here if that is easiest
no subject
what's your route
( even just where he's starting and which way he's going, so lalli can try to aim other people somewhere else. )
no subject
it seems like a good place to start
no subject
( or just heading due east either way? )

he's so unhelpful i'm sorry
It's okay lalli ur still a good boy
[Action]
Not that he's about to say anything now, either. It should be obvious enough why he's here, he thinks, when he stops in Lalli's general vicinity and offers him a nod in greeting. ]

sure. fine. okay.
lalli huffs out a breath, glancing off to the general westward area across the surface of the lake. )
I'm finding that wall, following it north. Want to track the new fence. Couple of others said something, don't know where they're going yet.
( that's the extent of the collective plan so far. it's pretty open-ended. )
Looking for roads. Rivers. Buildings. ( anything semi-remarkable enough to be considered a landmark in their limited cage. ) Which way are you going? ( even just vaguely. he's trying to keep people on different routes so they cover more ground faster, find dangers sooner. )
no subject
It's a perfectly fine plan. Spread out, find landmarks, compare notes. And since it seems they're stuck here together for the foreseeable future, they have little choice but to work together.
Unfortunately. ]
If you're going north, I'll go south.

the logic seems sound. )
Need a report when you're done, or it's pointless. ( which leaves the obvious question: how will they connect up again? if the guy doesn't use his phone. )
no subject
His lips twist slightly in a grimace. That's sensible, but he doesn't necessarily want to invite the guy to his cabin or anything, so ... ]
Could just meet back here.

@brick.master
i want to go.
i'll be there.
no subject
can come here to the lake or just go scout. up to you
no subject
how big a group do you have?
just apply a big 'fuck grad school' stamp to all of these late lalli + wei wuxian tags you're gettin
no worries!! i'm obviously not a paragon of speed, lmao
anybody tried digging under it yet? i bet that's too easy, but i'd also feel like an asshole if no one thought of it and that was the magic answer
no subject
saw a kid teleport outside. collapsed as soon as he got out. haven't seen him since
no subject
did everyone else but me get cool powers when they go here, or is everyone just from worlds where that's normal?
