To All Whomst Live about This Lake, Most Kindly Residents, and their Spirit Kindred.
I write to you in the most sorry state, and I must beseech your goodwill to my lacking knowledge and skill so if that I write boldly with no invitation to do so you will look upon me with mercy if I have mistakenly given offense. You will do me the greatest kindness if you will take pity upon me, as I am now so far from home and so wholly without that which I know well. It is no small matter for me to be gone from where I came, I would not trouble your good humour with myself on anything less than the direst of situations.
It is paramount that in all haste that I send word to my homeland, as I have been assured no return is possible. There is a great matter for which it is my duty to attend and in such present circumstances as these, my absence will be a great misfortune. As I cannot leave in good time, I must at least send word to my Fathers that the succession has to pass to my sister due to this present situation.
I ask most heartily how I may do such a thing? I am at your mercy, please, take pity upon my lands, if not myself, for their are good and innocent citizens of the Isle that must be guided, as has been my family's duty for near 500 years.
Simply give me the means, and I will owe you a lifetime of gratitude, I have no more than the clothes on my back and the shoes on my feet and the love of the Great Sea-Father in my heart. Ask and whatever you wish that I can give is yours if you will but help me with this.
In salt-air and In ocean wave, I plead as a faithful if a helpless servant of the Sea-Father,
Gilia St. Loe, of the Isle St Loe. Daughter-Sea to the Spirit of the Great Ocean, Second-Child of the Isle, She Who Sings with the Ocean to Give Prosperity.

Is it? Then perhaps that is best, the heart is a thing full of poetry I am told.
That is very good. May I enquire as to who they are?
My regards,
Gilia St. Loe.

it's really like...formal. and flowery
not bad! just uh
really eloquent i guess?
his name's joel. older guy with a beard and usually in a plaid shirt.
he's got an accent, too. a texas one.
no subject
That is so kind of you to say so! I am glad it does not bother you, I'm afraid this the only way I have known how to speak or set down my thoughts, all those I know do so.
Master Joel, I shall remember you recommendation of him should we meet. What is Texas? Is it your island?
no subject
like from the united states?
i guess you're not from there then.
did you come from an island?
no subject
A state! What is a state? Like a kind of existence of being?
No, I have not heard of this 'United States' I come from the Isle of St. Loe. It is one of many isles, all of which are ruled by separate kingdoms.
no subject
no, it's like...a place? with boundaries?
like a collection of cities and towns that has borders.
where's the isle of st. loe?
sounds european
no subject
Perhaps? What is 'Europe'?
no subject
guess you're not from there then...
what're some other places near you?
no subject
Then the isle that is across from us, they are the Beauhart. A little further south is the Great Mount llosgfynydd. Pen-y-bont ar Brigomaglos is a series of smaller islands that form a land bridge, so comes the name.
no subject
probably not the same world, either.
that's cool. what's your island like?
no subject
But it is green, it is a raised series of cliffs from the sea, apart from two ports. It is cold, almost all year around. A cold wind blows from the west, and as we are the further west you can go before the Ice Mountains, we catch the brunt of it. It can whip so sharply cold your ears ring with it for days.
All people of my island share our bond with the sea, if not so directly as my family in particular does, so fishing is our greatest trade, and so too are our sea pearls. No man of our island will ever drown, you can be certain of that. Mostly, we keep sheep and some few crops, few things can survive the bite of the wind. Otherwise, we are largely supported by the tithe of the other lands as part of the Peace of the Accords.
no subject
that sounds pretty incredible. wish i could see it.
tired of questions yet? what's the peace of the accords all about?
sorry. this is just really cool. it sounds made up, but i think you're telling the truth? which makes it even cooler
no subject
The Peace of the Accords is a series of laws agreed to by all the greater Isle families and the spirits of many lands. They took some years to write in their entirety and be agreed too by all lands, all spirits, on account of the fact that many spirits cannot leave the place from which they came.
First and foremost it dictates that no human or spirit that enter into a pact together, will never seak to harm each other. They will attempt to act always in unity and kindness to one another. This is the highest of all laws, in all lands. A spirit lends themselves to us, and so we in turn to them, and because of it, all our pains and joys are shared. It all came about...
[ Well it's a secondary much longer story. Hum. She sounds younger, or at least curious like she remembers from her little siblings. Perhaps that would be interesting to hear. ]
Would you like to hear a very grand tale of adventure, and good triumphing over evil? It has an Evil King, the Shadow Dragons and Great Heroes who stopped a terrible empire from forming.
no subject
i would for sure! but i feel bad you're typing all the stuff out
do you want to switch to voice or video or something?
i can probably even stop by if you're not far
no subject
Would you like to come for drink and dinner? I can tell you the story and we can enjoy one another's company together?
no subject
you sure?
no subject
no subject
did you say where you live already?
here, i mean. not back home
no subject
1/2
does he have a first name that isn't just "master?"
2/2
