hello, i am pressing the buttons very slowly so i don t make many typing mistakes.

every one has been through a lot lately. if you are hungry or cold or upset by these events, i have made a large p ortion of soup if you would like some. it is a simple soup so there is quite a bit. it has no meat if you are concerned about this.

i'll show you the soup !

i can bring you some if you would like. our residence is very out of the way. there are many bowls with lids here so it will not be any trouble.

i am very impressed by people who use phones well. the letters are very small!

And A-Xian might be a little biased...but if you'd like some of this, you're welcome to it. Unfortunately it's not got any lotus in it. I don't think there are any here to begin with...

❰ which is certainly a depressive point about all this. it's certainly worth it to try and remake a lotus pier here...but could it ever really be without lotus flowers? ❱

My friend seems to understand it a lot better than me, I'll have to have him show me more. Then I can teach you too.

Maybe he is, but Wei-xiong hasn't led me astray yet. If his taste in drink is anything to go by your soup will be the best thing I'll ever eat.

I certainly hope that no one else is brought here...the opposite is more the case. But I can't think of what you would do if another sect member showed up and wanted room and board with you.

If it were only you I think he would, but Jiang Cheng... you know how they can be.

[With Wuxian defecting from the Jiang sect and everything, Jiang Cheng must be still hurt and very sore about it all. Being so bullheaded it would take a long time for that to smooth out.

Gosh if anymore show up were going to need a whole other cabin! If da-ge were here we'd probably have a separate place too.

Mm, that makes sense. We'd probably end up divided into clans again, with more and more coming in. Especially if someone like Lan Wangji came along...though I'm not sure how close anything here could ever come to Cloud Recesses.

Definitely not, nothing here could ever be as beautiful as Cloud Recesses.

I actually thought about this the other day when talking to Wei Wuxian...do you think such a thing is possible? That they should, or could?

It's practically all the Lan clan disciples have ever known. It would be hard to abandon all their principles.

❰ and on a different level, yanli does understand it. despite this being a world without their clans, letting go of their culture and way of life...is there a good enough purpose? is it okay to give some of it up, but hold onto other parts? ❱

I wonder sometimes how much we should acclimate into this world.

... I guess that's true. As long as they don't expect us to follow their rules, they can keep them to themselves.

[And Lan Sizhui and Jingyi haven't pushed any rules on the cabin since they've all been here. Honestly he wasn't worried about them, it was more Lan Wangji or even Lan Xichen that would be more stern about such things. Or maybe they wouldn't since this wasn't Cloud Recesses. Who can say?]

It's a good question, but I really don't know the answer either. Everything is so strange and different from home, it's hard not to use things that are here.

It can be so hard to adapt. I think after a while I'll have to succumb to the clothes at the little food shop.

❰ she's been to the gas station -- had a slurpee, that was weird. poked a honey bun or two. but her brain kind of melted looking at what she could only assume were clothes to be worn based on the material they were made from. so revealing, both in how they lacked any cover in the arms, and the long pants revealed the true shape of one's legs. ❱

I don't really like the way they're styled but...it's inconvenient to have to wash my one hanfu every day.

❰ and also all of the under-dressing separate from it...wearing clothing is so inconvenient here when she would reasonably have to wash her robes, wait for them to dry and then be completely naked for hours in the meantime. ❱

If not for the dreadful heat I wouldn't have worn any of these new clothes! Well... the shirts aren't uncomfortable, but it's so strange wearing just the one small shirt and the pants-!

[Not uncomfortable either, but so tight!]

It almost feels like I'm wearing nothing with how tight they are, but it is a lot less hot in these clothes than our robes.

Ah, Nie-gongzi. I want to assure you that I don't judge you for adapting in such a way. Not in the slightest.

But that is at times how it looks and feels, so I have a hard time looking at anyone wearing the food shop clothes...! Perhaps it will get easier with time. I also don't want to feel so...exposed, to others.

[She's so terribly sweet, truly. Even if she did judge him he wouldn't take it too hard. Everyone had their ways and this place was testing them a lot. We do have many rooms...I can't even decide what all of them should be for.

Maybe until you need all of those beds, you could use some of the bedding to make a few more lighter hanfu?

That's quite a good idea...I wonder if there will ever be a way to find fabric here. There are a number of people here, and even those who want to use the clothes from the shop...they can't possibly clothe everyone here.

And it's so easy for things to stain -- especially cleaning this large house.

It's hard to say... they seem to be able to do so much, maybe they can? It would be nice if you could find just fabric to sew with.

Maybe you should see about seeing if anyone would help clean? Since it's so big a house. You can pay them with delicious soup!

It's a fine idea...but maybe I'm selfish for wanting it to be refinished by A-Cheng and I. That way it truly does feel like the real thing.

That doesn't sound selfish at all. A lot of work, but at least then you know it will be done how you want.

It's true...even if it doesn't exactly look like how Lotus Pier did, and it can never be truly replaced, something refined by mine and my brother's hand may be the close I ever get again.
