Hello. My name is Graham Casner, and as we all seem to be stuck here for the moment, I'd like to get a headcount and collect a few other potentially useful details. A record of who's here will let us know if anyone goes missing, and the benefit of cataloging what skills we have amidst the group should speak for itself.

In my day to day non-bullshit life I work as an adventure/survival guide; while I can't say for sure how much call we'll have for those services consider me on call for any questions about how to use what we have on hand. I also possess some experience in basic home maintenance, though for anything beyond simple electric/plumbing issues you're out of luck.

To sum up: please reply with your name and any skills, abilities, or otherwise you see as beneficial to our survival. Don't discount what might seem frivolous at first; creature comforts can go a long way.

Wei Wuxian, and I hear that I'm decent at such things as archery, fishing, swimming, and inciting one Jiang Wanyin to unadulterated rage in mere seconds (increasing his combat effectiveness).

I have talismans for many a purpose and can probably come up with one for nearly anything we might need, if I have a couple of days to work with. I could probably pull together a few more compasses, too - they point toward evils of the spiritual, demonic, or monstrous variety.

I'm alright in combat, if a little bit unconventional these days. Which reminds me! If anyone happens to run into anything of the 'angry spirit' variety, I can deal with that.

Oh - and I'm pretty good at the flute, if I say so myself.

I've not seen this 'shotgun' but they respond poorly (or fail to respond at all) to any blasts really. Or blades, or whatever else most tend to swing or throw at them.

( for what it's worth, that was less of a 'nobody else is good enough for the job but me' and more of an 'i somehow seem to end up in the middle of such messes', not that he realizes to clarify. )

Where you're from have anything like explosives? Gunpowder?

[ probably not the latter, he figures, on the grounds that shotgun didn't ring a bell, but it might just be that the words don't look familiar strung together. this will probably be the first and last time he attempts to explain firearms, on the grounds that a person whose combat skills are centered around magic and bladed weapons needs to understand that about as much as he needs to understand how to control angry spirits. playing to one's strengths is the main point of this enterprise, after all! ]

If you mean the sorts with out cultivation or talismans, they're mostly for showy displays. Lights and colors and whatnot.

Bullets are the crux of the weaponized element. Explosive and able to be delivered at high speed.

I suppose these bullets are trickier to craft than arrows?

( because wei wuxian (and any cultivator worth their salt) could craft arrows in a pinch, but arrows are also not intended to work with explosives, so. )

In the simplest sense, no, especially not with spent shell casings to recycle. In practice we lack all the required materials and tools, unless someone finds a stash of primers somewhere.

From what I've gathered, sometime in my future and his past I do something that he can't forgive. I haven't asked. I'm not sure what good it would do.





I endorse every skill he's listed, for what it's worth. Almost none can beat him in sword combat or archery, and his cultivation is by far the best of those who've come here from our world. He puts his temper aside in such matters as survival.
