Uh, hello there. To hopefully get a few things out of the way, yes I can talk, no you're not imagining it. How can I talk? It's complicated.

My name is Winston, nice to um, meet you all?

So I've been having a look at the network set up here through the device provided and it's interesting to say the least. A few of my major questions have been answered looking back at things, but gotta ask just in case. Are these Technicians available for a chat or is this on a "them" basis?

Hm... that does make sense, the more human the easier it is for them to accept things.

And Zenith is a city? A planet? Has being here affected your programming at all?

A planet.

Other than being disconnected from the Zenith Corporation mainframe, I appear to be at optimal functionality despite the circumstances. It does feel a lot more... quiet, I admit, but I've still worked to keep myself busy and follow my programming to the best of my ability.

Well, I know it's not the same, but if you ever need any company, I've known a few AI in my time.

[ She would question her own long-term adaptability, honestly, but seems to be taking it in stride for now. Eventually, everything might start to weigh on her... But as long as she keeps herself busy and helping others, she thinks it will be fine. ]

I can only imagine. Considering your appearance I can hazard a guess humans are at least a prevailing species there?

Humans? No. Zenith isn't home to humans. While we do look fairly similar, from what I can tell, Zenith natives consider themselves a much higher form of life than regular humans.

Could I ask what makes them different from humans?

No offense taken! At least, not by me. You might want to be careful around any Zenith natives though if they happen to arrive here.

The culture of Zenith is entirely different to earth, for one. Well, perhaps not entirely but enough that they're distinguishable. As for biology, Zenith natives are almost the same except for having a wider variety of genetic combinations when it comes to skin, eye, and hair color as well a lot of other physical attributes. Basically, Zenith citizens tend to be more... vibrant and varied than the average earthling!

[ Quin is an irony, in that sense, since he looks extremely human on the surface but is perhaps one of the farthest ones from it with his genetic mish-mash. ]

Humanity is already so colorful, Zenith sounds fascinating.

Yes, you're right. I don't think... I've really let myself though. Not until now.

Oh, it's alright! I've found ways to keep myself productive and try to fulfill my directive.

Honestly, I hope the lab techs are doing alright without me. Sometimes, I worry they'd come to rely on my help a bit too much.

I feel like that will be the biggest hurdle for me as well. Trying to figure out how to get home and not go stir crazy between all the bad stuff I've been warned about.

Pretty flattering if they can't manage without your help I'd say.

Oh, I don't know about that! I am good at my job, but- I was made to be so it feels kind of like a moot point sometimes.
